- With magnifiers, the focal length is the distance between the lens and the object being magnified. The shorter the focal length, the greater the magnification.
- If you need a high magnification magnifier, you will need to choose one with a short focal length.
- If you need to be able to see a large portion of the object in focus, you will need to choose a magnifier with a longer focal length.
